State displays
The state display in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) serves as a function check of the Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call
system) (TELE AID) system.
Switch-on characteristics
Every time the TELE AID system is switched on, the state display for the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) signals system readiness by illuminating for 4
seconds. If there are no faults, the state display for the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) goes out after 4 seconds.
Fault behavior
A TELE AID system error is present when the state display for the SOS pushbutton switch S93/3 does not go out 5 seconds after being switched on or
when it comes on at a later time. In the event of a fault, an error messages is displayed on the left multifunction display (A1p13) and on right
multifunction display (A1p15) in the instrument cluster (A1).
