Oil Pan: Removal and Replacement

Remove/Install Oil Pan

DANGER:

-

Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove oil pan bottom section (1)

Remove top part of oil pan (2)

NOTE:  Installation:
-

Observe different bolt lengths and bolt diameters!

-

Clean sealing surfaces, apply sealing compound to the sealing surfaces in the form of a bead with a height and width of 2.0 mm ± 0.5 mm! The
sealant must be applied within 10 minutes. The silicone bead must not be spread.

Install in the reverse order.

DANGER:

Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury as working
around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.

-

Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.

-

Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Run engine and inspect for leaks.
