Function

Pressing the recirculating air pushbutton ( ) on the AAC pushbutton control module (N22) actuates the fresh air and recirculated air flap actuator motor
(M16/21) via the AC bus.

In recirculation mode, the recirculated air flap is open and the fresh air flap is closed.
In fresh air mode, the fresh air flap is open and the recirculated air flap is closed.

Control of fresh air/recirculated air flap via the AAC pushbutton control module (N22)

Manually pressing the recirculation pushbutton ( ) on the AAC pushbutton control module (N22) immediately switches the air- conditioning system to
100 % recirculation for a limited time. This is displayed by the function LED.
Time limit function:

Manual recirculation mode and simultaneous AC OFF mode: 100 % recirculation possible for 5 minutes.

Manual recirculation mode and outside temperature below approx. 7 °C:
100 % recirculation possible for 5 minutes.

Manual recirculation mode and outside temperature above approx. 7 °C:
100 % recirculation possible for 30 minutes.

Automatic control of the fresh air/recirculated air flap via outside temperatures

When outside temperatures are high >20 °C recirculation is automatically varied from 0 % to 80 % or 100 % in order to cool the vehicle interior more
