Function

The in-car temperature is calculated in the AAC pushbutton control module (N22) using the two in-car temperature sensors :

in-car temperature sensor (N22b1) in the AAC pushbutton control module (N22)

^

in-car temperature sensor (N70b1) in the overhead control panel control module (N70)
The measured value is sent via the CAN data bus to the AAC pushbutton control module (N22)

The two in-car temperature sensors are equipped with a ventilation blower , which draws in air required for the temperature measurement from the
passenger compartment. The ventilation blower ensures that the passenger-compartment air is constantly circulated to the in-car temperature sensors and
thus guarantees that control accuracy is given.
The two in-car temperature sensors enable a temperature control to be conducted which is essentially independent of the air flow conditions within the
passenger compartment.

Sensor logic

The two in-car temperature sensors (N22b1, N70b1) are each used to 50 % for control purposes. Depending on the outside temperature (measured by the
ambient temperature display temperature sensor B14) the value of the in-car temperature thus determined is used to control the temperature in the
passenger compartment using a permanently filed map in the AAC pushbutton control module (N22).

The averaged value of the interior temperature with a window open, door open and vehicle speed = 0 km/h is also recorded for max. 2 min by the AAC
pushbutton control module (N22). This ensures that the air conditioning system continues operating immediately with the set interior specified
temperature.
