The new control unit must be coded again when exchanging a control unit. The control unit can be coded via a menu in the handheld tester (up to 07/99)
or via STAR DIAGNOSIS.

All control units are interlinked through the CAN data bus.
A control unit receives a measured value from a sensor, prepares a data telegram from this and places it on the CAN data bus.
All other control units can then read and process this data packet.
