Function

A short press (< 2 s) of the recirculating air pushbutton ( ) actuates the fresh air/recirculated air flap actuator motor (M16/21), which in turn actuates the
fresh air/recirculated air flap and thus closes the fresh air opening and opens the recirculation duct, in order to enable the air supply from the passenger
compartment. The functional LED illuminates during the recirculation mode. Recirculation mode is not possible when the vario roof is open.

Recirculation air convenience closing function

If the recirculating air pushbutton ( ) is pressed for longer than > 2 s, then the side windows are automatically closed along with the recirculation function
(side windows have to be standardized). The functional LED illuminates during the recirculation mode.
If the button is pressed again for > 2 s the side windows move back to the previously stored position and the fresh air/recirculated air flap moves to the
fresh air position (LED off).

Any side window which has been opened manually during this recirculation air phase, remains in this position when the recirculation air function is
canceled, all other windows move to the previously stored position. The positions of the side windows which existed prior to the commencement of the
closing operation, are stored by the overhead control panel control module or by the corresponding door control module. The side windows which were
closed by means of the convenience closing function, remain closed if the recirculated air pushbutton is pressed briefly only < 2 s.
In this case only the fresh air/recirculated air flap is moved into the fresh air position. The stored positions are canceled when the ignition is switched off.
