Component Identification

Location

The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit is located in the luggage compartment at the left under the trunk paneling.

Depending on equipment installed, one of the following audio devices is installed:

COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3), with code (528) COMAND with DVD changer

COMAND operating, display and controller unit, with code (512) COMAND APS with DVD changer

Decoding of signals

The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit decodes the DAB L- band signals and band III signals to obtain pulse code modulation (PCM) signals.
