Rear axle carrier

Component Identification

Correct the rear inclination angle (3) 

Corresponding shims are available as a replacement part for inclination angle correction at the rear axle center assembly.

Adjusting shims come with an eccentric hole spacing of 1 mm to 4 mm. Here 1 mm refers to a change of inclination angle by approx. 0.2 degrees to
0.3 degrees. The eccentricity measurement is marked on the top of the shim.

Dismantle exhaust shielding plate (106a) and exhaust shielding plate (106b).

Support rear axle center assembly with transmission jack and transmission platform.

Detach bolts (51a) and nuts (51c) from front center assembly mounting (51).

Remove shims (51b).

Install the appropriate shims (51b) according to the type of correction.

Ensure that the shims (51b) are correctly positioned (see picture). All the shims installed must have the same eccentric hole arrangement.

Install bolts (51a) and nuts (51c).

Remove transmission jack and transmission platform.

Mount exhaust shielding plate (106a) and exhaust shielding plate (106b).
