Exterior Lighting Module: Description and Operation
129 Up To 31/05/96 Except CODE (491) US Version
Any light source (high beams, low beams or parking lights) not switched off is indicated by a warning buzzer when the key is removed from the steering
lock when the right or left front door is opened.
When the door(s) is(are) opened and the lights switched on (key removed from steering lock), the warning buzzer (A1h1) in the instrument cluster (A1)
is connected to negative via the left or right door contact switch (S17/3, S17/4) and the ignition starter switch (S2/1). Positive (+) actuation from the
exterior light switch (S1) is accomplished from circuit K via the lamp control module (N7) to the warning buzzer (A1h1) in the instrument cluster (A1).
When the door(s) is(are) closed the warning buzzer switches off even when the lights are switched on.
