Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Service and Repair

PCV Ventilation Pipe

NOTE: Preceding this procedure, the following must be done;

a.

Front engine cover removed.

b.

Guiding blades 4 and 6 from cylinder heads removed.

c.

Camshaft adjuster of left intake camshaft removed.

REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

1. Unscrew ventilation pipe (5) from camshaft bearing cover.
2. Turn it to the front and remove upward.
3. Replace gasket (5a) as needed.
4. Reinstall in reverse order and tighten ventilation pipe bolt to:

21 Nm (15.5 ft. lb.)
