1.
Remove seat cover (SMS, 91-180) from seat cushion (3, Figure 18), equipped with front passenger seat occupied recognition sensor (B41) as of
model year 1997.
2.
Install seat cover on new seat cushion (with foam lining) equipped with front passenger seat occupied recognition with ACSR (B48).
3.
Reinstall seat (SMS 91-100).
4.
Connect occupied seat recognition connector/ACSR (x28/18) to harness connector from new passenger seat cushion (equipped with occupied seat
recognition with ACSR (B48J). Reinstall seat cushion.
Note:
Reinstall all remaining components previously removed in subjects A through C in reverse order of removal. Reconnect battery, reset clock; on
vehicles with ADS, reset steering angle sensor (SMS, 32-0600).
D. Testing Babysmart(TM) ACSR
1.
Read out and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) that may have been stored using the hand held tester (HHT).
2.
Perform version coding for occupied seat recognition and ACSR using the HHT:
