Unscrew screw plug, screw in, 45 - 55 Nm, replace seal (72).

Remove compression spring (70), spring pin (69) and bush (68) from steering gear housing, insert.

Check compression ring (70).

Examine spring pin (69) for signs of wear, replace, if necessary.
NOTE: The play compensator is only effective in the center area of the steering gear. If a complaint is received about excessive steering play, the
steering gear friction torque should be reset. See: Servicing Steering Gear 765.9/Checking and Adjusting Friction Torque of Steering Gear
