General information on voice control
The individual functions of the driver information system are called up and operated via the voice control system (VCS [SBS]). The voice control system
is integrated into the radio and navigation unit (A2/56). The system can be controlled by voice by spelling out or entering complete words.
Operating instructions
The voice control is activated or deactivated via the VCS [SBS] switch (S93/2)
Voice control function sequence
The control signal ON of the VCS [SBS] switch is forwarded to the radio and navigation unit as follows:

Direct line

Steering column tube module (N80)

Interior CAN
The voice input takes place via the hands-free system microphone group, which is connected via a direct line to the radio and navigation unit. The voice
output for destination-oriented navigation is sent to the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) and then amplified in the amplifier for sound system
(N40/3), with code (810) Sound system.
The audio signals reach the following speakers via direct lines:

Left door speaker group (H4/1)

Right door speaker group (H4/2)

Center cockpit speaker (centerfill) (H4/27)
For vehicles except code (810) Sound system, voice output takes place via direct lines through the radio and navigation unit via the following speakers:

Left door speaker group

Right door speaker group

Center cockpit speaker (centerfill)
