General

The DVD drive of the COMAND operating, display and controller unit supports playback of video DVDs and video CDs. Here, the video image appears
on the display on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit after the "VIDEO" menu and then the "DVD" submenu have been activated.

Operating instruction

The system can be operated using the:

Control buttons on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit

Function sequence

The DVD player can be used to read out and decode DVD videos. The "DVD menu" and the "Title menu" are stored on the DVD. The audio signals in
vehicles with code (810) Sound system , are transferred via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) to the sound system amplifier (N40/3) where
they are amplified and then processed to match the stored tone settings.

The amplified and processed audio signals are output over direct lines to the following speakers:

Left door speaker group (H4/1)

Right door speaker group (H4/2)

Left rear speaker (H4/7)

-

Right rear speaker (H4/8)

-

Center cockpit speaker (centerfill) (H4/27)

-

Left door tweeter (H4/33)

-

Right door tweeter (H4/34)

-

Left rear surround speaker (H4/54)

-

Right rear surround speaker (H4/57)

In vehicles except code (810) Sound system, the audio output takes place directly over direct lines via the COMAND operating, display and controller
unit and through the following speakers:

Left door speaker group

Right door speaker group

Left rear speaker

Right rear speaker

Center cockpit speaker (centerfill)

Left door tweeter

Right door tweeter

The DVD Video picture is available up to a speed of <=5 km/ h. Only acoustic playback remains active while driving. For safety reasons, a warning
appears on the display on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit.
