AN82.61-P-7474-04VV Retrofit Antenna For Global Positioning System (GPS)

Glue one layer of felt tape to the bottom of the GPS antenna (A2/23).

Do not glue felt tape to the covering foil (top of antenna).

Wind felt tape around antenna line (2) of GPS antenna (A2/23).

Wind felt tape around adapter line (1).

Adapter line (1) is connected later to antenna line (2). The adapter line (1) up to production date 2.3.08 is shown. As of production date 3.3.08 an
adapter line (1) with an angular blue coupling is used.

Remove laminate film from GPS antenna (A2/23).

Glue on GPS antenna (A2/23) as shown.

GPS antenna's (A2/23) opening has to face the windshield.

Route antenna line (2) into radio recess along existing lines and secure in place with felt strips (4).

Connect adapter line (1) and antenna line (2).

The adapter line (1) must audibly engage.

Wind felt tape around connector (3).

The blue coupling (5) of the adapter line (1) is coded and will later be connected to the radio and navigation unit or the COMAND operating,
