vehicle is completely stopped. This will actuate the brake pedal self-adjusters.

If these stops do not bring the brake pedal travel within specification, make several additional forward and reverse stops.

7. If the second series of stops does not bring brake pedal travel within specification, remove brake drum and check the brake adjusters to make sure

they are functioning. Check brake shoe and lining for wear or damage. Service or replace all worn or damaged parts and non-functioning adjusters.
Adjust the brake shoe lining outside diameter to the approximate inside diameter of the brake drum with Brake Adjustment Gauge or equivalent.

8. If the above steps do not bring the brake travel within specification, bleed the brake system.
