Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect power steering return hose and power steering reservoir pump hose.
2. Drain fluid from power steering pump reservoir.
3. Remove retaining screws and nut from power steering pump reservoir.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Inspect filter screen in power steering pump reservoir for contaminants. Replace if required.
1. Connect the power steering reservoir pump hose and power steering return hose.
2. Position power steering pump reservoir on engine.
3. Install two screw and washer assemblies and one nut. Tighten to 9-12 Nm (80-106 inch lbs.).
4. Fill the power steering pump reservoir with MERCON Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid or equivalent.
