Front Air Shock Absorber for Cougar/XR7 V8-46L VIN W (1997) Steering Suspension
NOTE: If reference marks were omitted or removed during disassembly, refer to illustration for upper front shock absorber mounting bracket
positioning. RH and LH front shock absorber mounting bracket-to-front shock absorber orientation is identical.
4. Install washer and nut. Hold front shock absorber rod at hex on the end during tightening to prevent front shock absorber rod from rotating.
Tighten to 50-71 Nm (37-52 ft. lbs.).
5. Release spring compressor, making sure front coil spring is properly seated at top and bottom.
