A fuel sender filter on CFI vehicles, that is mispositioned or bent upward may cause an inaccurate fuel level indication at empty. A replacement filter is
now available for the following applications:

Service Procedure
1.
Refer to Shop Manual Section (33-20) for fuel sender removal.
2.
After removing fuel sender from fuel tank, verify that filter is bent upward, interfering with float movement.
3.
Grasp sender firmly at pump and pull filter off pump using a twisting, pulling motion.
