The following procedures should be used when removing and installing wheel studs on front hub, front wheel drive vehicles (except Fiesta) and rear hub,
rear wheel drive passenger cars and light trucks equipped with Ford design rear axles, full floating and semi-floating including rear disc brake
applications.
FRONT WHEEL DRIVE - REMOVE AND INSTALL WHEEL STUD
Remove Wheel Stud
1.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
2.
Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3.
Remove caliper and rotor.
CAUTION:
NEVER REMOVE STUD WITH HAMMER AS DAMAGE TO THE HUB/BEARING MAY RESULT.

Using tool T74P-3044-A1, press stud from its seat in the hub (Figure 8).
5.
Remove tool and pull stud out of hub.
