The gray 12-pin connector is located under the washer bottle. (See Figure 6). Unlatch locking tabs and pull connector apart. Use appropriate tool
to release the A/C wire (black/yellow hash) from both connector shells.
6.
Insert the female terminal of the A/C wire into a D4AZ-14489-H connector shell.
7.
Insert the male terminal of the A/C wire into a D4AZ-14489-L connector shell.
8.
Plug the new connector shells together and reconnect the 12-pin connector.

CALIBRATIONS: All with EEC IV and air conditioning.
Engine rpm changes can be caused by electrical leakage at the EEC wire harness connectors. To service this condition, by-pass the leaky connectors by
using the following procedure:
A gray 12-pin connector and a gray 6-pin connector are used to connect the 14401 to the 14290 wire harness. Road splash (a conductive solution) can
cause electrical leakage at these connectors and allow false signals to reach the EEC processor. If electrical leakage occurs at the 12-pin connector, the
