Fig. 18  Disconnecting Brake Pad Wear Sensor

1.

Apply brake pedal several times to relieve system pressure.

2.

Raise and support vehicle.

3.

Remove wheel and tire assembly.

4.

Disconnect electrical connector from brake pad wear sensor, Fig. 18.

5.

Disconnect brake line from flex hose and flex hose from housing. Plug lines to prevent leakage and contamination.

6.

Disconnect parking brake cable from retaining bracket.

7.

Remove caliper assembly attaching bolts and the caliper.

8.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque caliper attaching bolts to specification.
b. Following completion of installation, perform rear brake bleeding procedures.
