AE51 CHECK FOR CORRECT APIM OPERATION

Disconnect all the APIM connectors.

Check for:

corrosion
-
damaged pins
-
pushed-out pins
-
Connect all the APIM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.

Verify the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?
Yes
INSTALL a new APIM. REFER to Accessories and Optional Equipment. CONNECT all modules. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with
the scan tool.
No
The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CONNECT all modules. CLEAR
the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
AE52 CHECK FOR CORRECT ACCM OPERATION

Disconnect all the ACCM connectors.
-
Check for:
-
corrosion
-
damaged pins
-
pushed-out pins
-
Connect all the ACCM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.

Verify the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?
Yes
INSTALL a new ACCM. CONNECT all modules. CLEAR the DTCs.
REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.
No

the DTCs. REPEAT the network test with the scan tool.

AE53 CHECK FOR CORRECT BECM OPERATION
NOTE: Do not disconnect the high voltage cables or connectors in the following step.

Disconnect all the BECM LOW VOLTAGE connectors.

Check for:
-
corrosion
-
damaged pins
-
pushed-out pins
-
Connect all the BECM LOW VOLTAGE connectors and make sure they seat correctly.

Verify the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?
