Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Door Handle
EXTERIOR REAR DOOR HANDLE
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the rear door window glass.
2. Remove the bolt and the interior door handle.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
3. Position the watershield aside.
4. Disconnect the rear door latch assembly electrical connector.
5. Rotate the push button rod downward and remove it from the rear door latch assembly.
6. Remove the 3 rear door latch assembly screws.
7. Remove the 10 bolts and position the carrier plate aside.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
8. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the rear door latch.
9. Remove the 3 rear door latch bolts.

To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
10. Remove the rear door latch assembly.
11. Remove the exterior door handle bolt and the exterior door handle cap.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
12. Remove the nut and the exterior door handle and bracket.
-
To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
