7. NOTE: The Mountaineer rear bumper cover has a bracket located at the upper edge of the moulding that attaches to the sheet metal.
Remove the rear bumper cover.

Lift the front corner of the rear bumper cover straight up and pull away.

Repeat on the opposite side.
8. Transfer components as necessary.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
