Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation
NOTE: The lower arm bushings are not serviced separately. If the bushings require service, a new lower arm must be installed.

Removal and Installation
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove and discard the nut.
3. Remove the bolts and the flag nuts.

Discard the flag nuts.
4. Rotate the bushing upwards and remove the bushing.
5. CAUTION: Make sure the upper arm-to-frame mounting bolts are routed through the frame and the arm before tightening.
NOTE: Do not tighten the bushing-to-arm nut until the vehicle is at curb ride height.
