14. Remove the cable mechanism plastic shield.

Pry the shield back over the locating pin.
15. Remove the latch remote control cable.
1. Pull the outer cable from the latch bracket.
2. Rotate the cable to align the inner cable with the slot and remove the cable.
16. Remove the latch actuator (if equipped).
1. Remove the actuator retaining screws.
2. Remove the actuator.
