5. Remove and discard the piston seal.
6. Inspect the caliper piston and the piston bore for pitting or scoring and renew as necessary.
Assembly
1. Lubricate the piston bore, piston seal and the caliper piston with High performance Dot 3 brake fluid C6AZ-9542-AB or equivalent meeting Ford
specifications E5A-M6C25-A.
2. NOTE: The caliper seal fits into a machined groove in the piston bore.
Install a new piston seal into the piston bore.
3. Install a new dust cap onto the caliper piston.
4. CAUTION: Do not scratch or damage the caliper piston when installing it into the caliper bore.
Install the caliper piston into the caliper bore.
