Cabin Air Filter: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Position windshield wiper arms away from cowl vent screen.
NOTE: The windshield wiper arms must be positioned away from the cowl vent screen to access pollen filter. This can be accomplished by
switching off the ignition switch when the cycling windshield wipers are at the top of their arc on the windshield.
2. Remove plastic screw covers and three top screws retaining RH halt of cowl vent screen.
3. From inside vehicle, pull hood lock release handle to release hood.
4. Lift hood and support with hood support rod.
Hood Pad
5. Pull hood pad straight up away from cowl vent screen.
6. Remove three side screws retaining RH half of cowl vent screen.
7. Remove RH half of cowl vent screen from vehicle.
8. Disengage clips retaining pollen filter cover.
9. Remove cover and filter from vehicle and remove filter from cover.
