Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Have an assistant grasp the lower edge of tire and move the wheel in and out.
3. As the wheel is being moved in and out, observe the lower end of the front wheel knuckle and lower arm. Any free movement of the lower arm
ball joint and its mount indicates abnormal ball joint wear.
