Axle Shaft: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Assembly

Special Tool(s) 

Disassembly 

1. Remove the Halfshaft assembly. 

2. NOTE:  Use vice jaw protectors.

Disconnect the Halfshaft joint at the transaxle end.

Clamp the Halfshaft in a vice use soft jaw protectors.

1. Cut the boot clamps and discard them. Slide the boot back.
2. Pull off the Constant Velocity (CV) joint.
