ISSUE:
No shifts, harsh shifts or extended shifts may be caused by oil pump body and valve body check balls that are not in the correct location or
missing after the transaxle has been overhauled.
ACTION:
Make sure the correct number of check balls are installed in their proper locations during reassembly. Use the transaxle model tag
attached to the top of the converter housing, Figure 1, for model identification. Refer to the following service information for the correct
number and placement of the check balls.

The valve body has seven (7) check balls and the locations of the check balls are the same for all model years, Figure 2.
