Arm Rest: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Assembly
DISASSEMBLY
1. Carefully pull up on armrest pivot bolt covers (one on each side).
2. Remove two pivot bolts (one each side) from armrest mounting bracket.
3. Apply pressure inward on armrest to disengage two pivot plate pins from armrest mounting bracket.
4. Pull up on armrest to disengage opposite side and remove armrest from console.
5. From under console, remove two screws retaining bolster to console.
6. Disengage tabs retaining bolster to console and remove bolster.
7. Remove two cup holder rubber liners.
8. Remove two screws - one in each cup holder.
9. Cassette storage equipped - Remove two screw covers and remove two screws. Phone storage equipped - Remove two screws from phone receiver
and remove receiver. Remove one screw cover and remove one screw.
10. Lift drink tray and disconnect phone cable from phone storage compartment (if equipped).
11. Remove cup holder, cassette and/or phone storage assembly from console.
12. Remove ash tray receptacle.
13. Remove two screws and ash tray housing from console.
ASSEMBLY
1. To assemble, transfer armrest pivot plates to new armrest and reverse Disassembly procedure.
