Seat Latch: Description and Operation

The front seat back latch system contains the following features:

The reclining seat back is adjusted by a front seat back latch on the outboard side of the seat cushion.

The seat back reclines when the latch is pulled and lifted upward, the seat back is pushed to the desired position and the latch is released.

The seat back returns to its full-up position with spring action when the latch is lifted and occupant back pressure is removed.

The entire front seat back latch must be replaced if any component is non-functional or damaged. It is a modular design and components cannot be
serviced or replaced individually.
