Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Rear Cable and Conduit
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Loosen parking brake cable adjusting nut.
Park Brake Equalizer
3. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit end fitting from parking brake cable equalizer.
4. Drum brakes:

Remove LH rear wheel and tire.

Remove brake drum assembly.

Disconnect parking brake rear cable and conduit from parking brake lever.

Using a 13 mm box-end wrench or screwdriver to press the conduit retaining prongs, remove cable-end pronged fitting from parking brake
support plate.
