Backup Light Bulb: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Open liftgate.

NOTE:  Your vehicle is equipped with a backup lamp integral to the rear reflector which is mounted on the liftgate. A burned-out bulb can be
replaced without removing the rear reflector. Remove the backup bulb as follows:

2. Remove two screws and handle from liftgate door trim panel.
3. Remove liftgate door trim panel from liftgate.

4. Locate two backup lamp sockets at the outboard section of rear reflector and socket.
5. Gently disconnect electrical connector from body main wiring.
6. Rotate lamp socket of body main wiring 1/4 turn counterclockwise and remove from rear reflector and socket.
7. Gently pull miniature bulb out of backup lamp socket.

NOTE:  Bulbs are push-pull type. Do not turn bulbs while removing or installing.

INSTALLATION 

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Install liftgate door trim panel.
