6. Apply only enough heat to melt the sealer, then remove heat source. After servicing the leak, allow the wheel to cool until it can be handled safely.
CAUTION: Use caution when mounting the tire so as not to damage the sealer.
7. Index and assemble tire and wheel. Inflate tire to the recommended pressure as indicated on the tire pressure decal.
8. Repeat Step 2 to verify service.
9. When the service is completed, balance the assembly and install on vehicle.
Steel
Rim bead seats should be cleaned with a wire brush or coarse steel wool to remove lubricants, old rubber, and light rust.
Aluminum
CAUTION: Do not use steel wool, abrasive-type cleaner or strong detergents containing highly alkaline or caustic agents as damage to the protective
coating and discoloration may result.
NOTE: Automatic car wash tire brushes may damage aluminum and styled road wheel protective coatings. Before using such a service, be sure
abrasive-type brushes are not being used.
Aluminum wheel rim bead seats should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove tire mounting lubricants and old rubber. Before mounting or
dismounting a tire, the bead area should be well lubricated with a rubber lubricant meeting Ford specification ESR-M99B135-A or equivalent.
To clean wheels and wheel covers, use a mild soap and water solution and rinse thoroughly with clear water.
During Tire Changes

DESTROY ALL PARTS THAT ARE CRACKED.
CAUTION: Make sure replacements are made with the proper sizes and types of wheels to prevent damage or personal injury.
NOTE: If the tire is to be reinstalled on the same wheel, mark the tire and wheel so they can be reassembled in the same position.
