8. Record all on-demand DTCs.

a. If DTCs are retrieved, go to the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index for selected module to continue diagnostics.  See: Diagnostic Trouble

Code Descriptions

b. If no DTCs are retrieved (on-demand self test passed) and concern(s) remains, go to Step 9.

9. If continuous DTCs were recorded in Step 5, go to the DTC Index for the selected module to continue diagnosis for all continuous DTCs. If no

continuous DTCs were retrieved, concern is not related to J1850 or ISO 9141 communication network(s) and is not a module monitored function.
