CALIBRATION: 
6-14A-R06, 6-14A-R10, 6-14A-R11, 6-14S-R06, 6-14S-R10, 6-14S-R11 7-14A-R06, 7-14S-R06, 7-LDA-QAB

WARNING: 

THIS MODIFICATION IS AUTHORIZED ONLY FOR THE LISTED ENGINE. PERFORMING THIS MODIFICATION ON OTHER ENGINE
CALIBRATIONS IS UNAUTHORIZED AND COULD CREATE LIABILITY UNDER APPLICABLE FEDERAL OR LOCAL LAWS.

ISSUE: 

A hesitation on acceleration or hesitation/stumble and delayed 4-2 downshifts may occur on some vehicles. This may be caused by the PCM
calibration regarding the torque modulation.

ACTION: 
Reprogram the PCM. The new calibration has been revised to eliminate the hesitation and delayed 4-2 downshift associated to torque modulation. Refer
to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Verify the concern.

2.

Perform normal diagnostics as outlined in the appropriate year Taurus/Sable Service Manual.

3.

Reprogram the PCM using the Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) Tester. Refer to the PCM Application
Chart for correct calibration usage.

NOTE: 

REGIONAL APPROVAL MUST BE OBTAINED WHEN IT IS NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE PCM.
