4. With the template taped down, use a knife (or the equivalent) to poke through the soft finish material surface of the rear window trim panel in the
dotted lined areas indicated on the template.
WARNING: Use protective eye wear when cutting through the trim panel material.
NOTE: The top surface of the rear window trim panel has a soft finish material for appearance and a rigid backing material directly beneath for
strength.
5. Poke through the soft material and probe the area between the dotted lines to find one of the two existing perforations in the rigid backing material
directly underneath the dotted lines on template. Carefully cut out both the soft material and aligned rigid material beneath.
CAUTION: Do not exceed the boundaries of the perforation or the trim panel may be permanently damaged and require replacement.
NOTE: Perforation is found when the knife meets no resistance.
