5. Install tie rod bellows and power steering gear rack tube. Make sure tie rod bellows is positioned as shown in the Tie Rod Bellows Assembly
image. Make sure tie rod bellows is seated in groove in front wheel spindle tie rod. Position clamps as shown in the Tie Rod Bellows Assembly
image.
6. Install bellows retaining clamps and position screw axis as shown in the Tie Rod Bellows Assembly image. Tighten to 2-3 Nm (18-26 inch lbs).
7. Install new clamps retaining tie rod bellows to tie rods.
8. Apply Silicone Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to front wheel spindle tie rod
threads.
9. Install tie rod ends.
