Stabilizer Bushing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Support vehicle with jackstands under lower rear suspension arm and bushing so stabilizer bar brackets are neutralized.
3. Remove and discard two bolts and nuts retaining stabilizer bar brackets to lower rear suspension arm and bushing.
4. Clean rear stabilizer bar ends of dirt and other contamination and slide stabilizer bar bracket off of rear stabilizer bar.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean rear stabilizer bar ends of dirt and other contamination.
2. Lubricate rear stabilizer bar from the end of the bar to the stabilizer bar bracket contact area with Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube
E25Y-19553-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A and slide two stabilizer bar brackets onto rear stabilizer bar.
3. Install new bolt nuts. Tighten bolts to 19-26 Nm (14-19 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove jackstands and lower vehicle.
