Stabilizer Link: Service and Repair
Rear

Sedan

REMOVAL

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

2. Remove nut, washer and lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulator securing rear stabilizer bar link to shock absorber.
3. Remove nut, washer and lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulator securing rear stabilizer bar link to rear stabilizer bar.

INSTALLATION

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

Wagon

REMOVAL

1. Remove rear stabilizer bar.

2. Slide rear stabilizer bar link and bushing assemblies off of rear stabilizer bar.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean rear stabilizer bar of dirt and other contamination.

NOTE:  If the rear stabilizer bar to body link assemblies are being reused, clean the link lower insulator inside diameter with a bottle brush to
remove any dirt or paint build-up. Lube the insulator prior to reassembly. Use only Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or
equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A.

2. Lubricate rear stabilizer bar from the end of the bar to the lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulator contact area with Rubber Suspension

Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESF-M99B 112-A and slide on two rear stabilizer bar link and bushings
