Preliminary Inspection (All Vehicles)

Open hood and locate the identification tag on the top of the transaxle converter housing.
NOTE:
You may have to view the tag from several positions in order to clearly see all digits of the date code or serial number. If this is not possible on
Taurus SHO, go directly to Step 1 or "Secondary Inspection".
