A new torque converter leak test tool has been released. The current leak test tool has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The new tool will be
available to all dealers in 1997.
ACTION:
When using the new leak test tool, a new procedure must be followed. Refer to the following Service Procedure and/or the 1997 Service/Workshop
Manuals when using the new leak test tool.

Clean the outside surface of the torque converter.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE CONVERTER HUB FINISH WHEN INSTALLING THE TOOL.
