Valve Body: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Remove Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable and positive battery cable.
3. Remove battery and battery tray.
4. Disconnect Transmission Range (TR) sensor and transaxle harness electrical connectors. Reposition engine wire harness.
5. Place TR sensor manual lever in park position.
6. Remove RH cowl assembly.

Three Bar Engine Support

7. Install Rotunda Three Bar Engine Support D88L-6000-A or equivalent with Rotunda Engine Lifting Eye Set 134-00243 or equivalents.
8. Remove upper bolts retaining transaxle side pan.
9. Raise and suitably support vehicle on hoist.

10. Remove LH front tire and wheel assembly.
11. Remove LH front fender splash shield.
12. Remove LH engine support and insulator.
13. Position drain pan under transaxle side pan. Remove remaining lower transaxle side pan bolts and remove transaxle side pan and gasket. Discard

gasket.

14. Disconnect Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor from main control valve body and solenoid electrical connectors.
15. Remove transaxle wiring harness from chain cover.
16. Only four of the six pump assembly bolts need to be removed.
