ISSUE
Some 2005-2007 Taurus and 2005 Sable vehicles built after 8/26/2004, may illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and display diagnostic
trouble codes (DTCs) P0300 and/or P0606, with no other DTCs or driveability symptoms.
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 44.13 and higher or 45.2 and higher. This new calibration is
not included in the VCM 2006.9 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
