Crankshaft Rear Seal with Retainer Plate

Material

CAUTION: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while
cleaning gasket surfaces that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan, may cause engine failure.

NOTE: This procedure is for removal of the crankshaft rear seal and retainer plate and requires removal of the oil pan. If only removing the
crankshaft rear seal, refer to Crankshaft Rear Seal.

1. Remove the oil pan. 
2. Using the special tools, remove the engine from the stand.
