3. NOTE: Install the output flange to engage the spline as previously marked.
Install the output flange.
4. CAUTION: Do not overtighten the pinion nut. Refer to the rotational torque previously recorded with the Nm (lb-inch) torque wrench.
Tighten the pinion nut in small increments until it is 0.3 Nm (3 lb-inch) of the reference measurement. If you exceed 0.3 Nm (3 lb-inch)
over the base measurement, then the collapsible spacer will be damaged and a new spacer will be required.
Using the special tool to hold the output flange, install the new pinion nut.
5. Connect the driveshaft to the PTU. Install the 4 driveshaft-to-PTU output flange bolts.

To install, tighten to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).
6. Install the exhaust flexible pipe.
7. Lower the vehicle.
