LINCOLN-MERCURY 1981-84 LYNX, LN7, TOPAZ
New, improved short lip design inner and outer direct clutch seals have been released for the ATX transmission.
The improved seals are included in currently available service kits E2FZ-7153-A and E3FZ-7F424-A. Kits in dealer stock purchased before October,
1984, may not include the new seals. Dealers wishing to upgrade service kit stock to the latest level may purchase the new seals individually
[E5FZ-7CO99-A (outer) and E5FZ-7A548-A (inner)].

The new seals do not have a part number molded into them as is the case with the previous design. However, the new seal design may be identified
visually (Figure 16).
